An expansion pack for The Lord Of The Rings - The Battle For Middle-Earth 2 was released few moments ago, entitled The Witch King. This extension was also known as “The Rise of The Witch King”, but guys from RELOADED made it finally little shorter - which is pretty good idea, because the name of this is already little extra long. The main news should be economical part of the game, along with new hero’s army (so there will be 4 already). The other news are also hero related, he can now die or control way more objects on the map. Splinter Cell Double Agent is here at last! And yes it’s in DVD9 format like a few other recent games. Luckily I bought a double-layer DVD burner about a year ago as an insurance policy for cases like these. Ok, now it’s time for my thoughts on this game. No I do not think of this as the next-gen Splinter Cell even tough it is being sold like that. It’s still Unreal Engine 2.5 so basically that makes it just as next-gen as Splinter Cell 1 ‘cept for more poly’s and shaders. I’m really excited about the whole trust-system you get now because you have to please both the NSA and the terrorists you work for. Yeah… YOU WORK FOR TERRORISTS TOO! It would appear that Sam served his country, risked his life for millions of people and his big reward is an unfortunate accident involving a car and his daughter’s corpse. What’s also cool, and I hope it works, are the difficult choices you have to make. Will you kill an innocent man crying and begging for his life, just to show those terrorist scumbags that your an ice cold killer? And by doing so, making the NSA very unhappy. Or will you make them doubt your use in their organization, but keep the NSA on your side. No, you can not just help the terrorists and screw the NSA over. That’ll result in a big screen saying “GAME OVER”. Same goes for kissing the NSA’s ass all the time. Hope ya’ll will enjoy this game, I know I will!

Really surprising things happen last time - scene groups which announced their retirement years ago are now back in business releasing new stuff. And it’s only good for us, although this probably nobody expected. FLT aka Fairlight is one of the oldest and most respected group, so everyone should be happy if they are back.
