OK here we have the latest Pro Cycling Manager patch, instead of doing what most good publishers do and remove the protection after a couple of months Cyanide just keep plugging away with StarForce. Too bad because i have seen a few people having trouble getting the game to run and its almost certainly to do with the copy protection. This update supposdly fixes the StarForce Driver to prevent the game crashing ‘in some rare cases’. Thats all it does apparently so dont expect a load of new features and such.

SKiDROW are back with a hefty Medieval 2 Total War update. Cracked almost as quickly as the patch was released this update comes in at almost the same size as a full CD! 525 MB worth of updates suggests that this was one hell of a buggy came when it first came out but to be fair most of it is propably new features. Age of Empires 3 has been around for 2 yeas now and its still pretty popular, quite an amazing feat for such a fast paced industry. Accordingly the developers have been churning out patches to to add new features and to keep the game bug free. Recently Ensemble Studios released another new patch yesterday; v.1.12 which is mostly a game tweak update. Helps to keep balanced gameplay and to make sure no one unit can totally dominate. There is one or two added features and bug fixes thrown in as well though. Looks like you would be hard pressed to find a bug in this game now, although you never know. PWZ (a DOX group) is the team to release the cracked version of this update so no more copy protection! yay! This is a simple update to apply, all you have to do is patch yor game using the included installer and then move over the cracked files into the installation directory and then enjoy your newly improved AOE3!

Here we have the next installment in the long running Medal of Honor series of video games. Titled Airborne this focuses primarily on paratroopers hence the name ‘Airborne’. Ah Manhunt 2… That infamous game, its not even in retail stores yet and its got to be one of the most controversial games ever. Refused certification in the UK and given an AO in the US and other countries means that it cant be sold on any of the platforms it was heading for. “cruel and sadistic, with a squalid environment and a continuous, insistent encouragement to violence and murder.” is what one of the members of the Italian ratings bored called it. Rockstar has appealed the ratings the game had received and in the US they have edited the game down to an M rating so it will be soon be sold in its edited form on US shelves. Who wants to play the edited version of a game though?

We don’t usually publish articles on non PC games on rlslog but we think that Manhunt 2 deserves special mention especially since this game doesn’t have PC release coming and it has been released in its uncut original form! Group DAGGER have released it for the PS2 and it comes from a .nl source where there is no legal mechanism in place to ban its sale over their. The PS2 is a moderately easy system to trick into playing backup discs so if you have it i suggest you grab yourself a swapmagic of something similar, download this release and enjoy this game as it was originally intended… only if you have PAL TV and PS2 though.

Since Bioshock was pre’d earlier this afternoon, i guess many of you wont pay attention to this fine release from group HATRED. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 contains a few new features as well as some updated graphics but apart from that it plays pretty much the same as 07, 06 etc. If Golf is your kind of sport than I’m sure you will be able to appreciate the subtle new differences and features. Hello rlslog readers, i have been quite busy the last few days so i have not had the time to write articles on the few low profile games that have been released by the scene recently. If i had the time i would of made a full post for these games but since they are all at least a couple of days old now bunching them together like this is the best option. I have to say that ViTALiTY have done some very nice cracking work on two of these games. Especially beating that StarForce 4 protection. As far as the games themselves go only the release by ARMADA looks budget the other two games look like they could interest the casual gamer which is something you don’t usually find in these multi posts. Downloading one of these shouldn’t be to much bother as even the biggest release is only 3 GB which is not that big in today’s world of high speed broadband. Anyway grab one if your interested, if your not then maybe you will find what you want in another of my games posts soon! Bioshock anyone? (hopefully )
